Orlando Field Office

The Orlando Field Office was established due to the Central Florida area being a hub for modeling, simulation, and training. GTRI Orlando focuses on Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) systems and software development, including applied research, exploratory, and advanced development of new mobile LVC and Range training systems. At GTRI Orlando, we:

  • Support all phases of the design, development, fabrication, integration, testing, training, and upgrades of government range training systems and software.
  • Maintain current systems on training ranges and exercise venues to ensure the highest level of training confidence and technical standards.
  • Provide software development, systems integration, network design, hardware, electrical, and mechanical engineering, participates in planning and executing training events, and provides technical guidance.
  • Provide engineering support for training of U.S. and foreign assets, supporting government exercises and field tests, and conducting field operations for training U.S. operators.

Other focuses include investment analyses for training systems, design of experiments courses, test and evaluation workforce development, virtual electronic combat training system, embedded training, training effectiveness, and cyber systems and education.
