Raj Vuchatu currently serves as the Chief Information Officer at GTRI, where he provides vision and leadership for Information Technology (IT) strategy and implementation. He will oversee all aspects of information systems, enterprise systems, secure and special secure computing. Raj leads and executes a shared IT strategy focused on achieving GTRI’s research goals.
Before stepping into the Chief Information Officer position, Raj served as the Director of Enterprise Systems at GTRI & IT for Research Support at GT where he led digital transformation across the research enterprise. He has over 20 years of experience in leading high performing teams delivering IT solutions to meet organizational goals & objectives. He was selected for the GT’s Administrative Excellence Award in 2013 and GTRI’s Sustained Excellence in Service Award in 2010.
Raj is a die-hard cricket and baseball fan. He regularly volunteers at many charitable organizations and received the Volunteer of the Year award by VIBHA in 2019.
Raj earned his M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from Auburn University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from BITS, Pilani, India.
