All three members of GTRI Research Security’s (RS) Insider Threat Program (ITP): ITP Senior Official Dannie Lyvers and ITP analysts Chikita Sanders and Roshaun Brown, have completed the prestigious Global Counter-Insider Threat Professional Certification.

The certification is administered by the Applied Research Laboratory for Intelligence and Security (ARLIS) at the University of Maryland.

“The Global Counter Insider Threat Professional Certification sets the standard for establishing safeguards from internal risks and empowers recipients with the knowledge and tools to deter, detect and mitigate threats effectively in an evolving security landscape," said Dannie. 

Roshaun echoed his sentiments. “Receiving the Global Counter-Insider Threat Professional Certification was much more than earning a credential; it was a testament to my dedication and commitment to advancing security awareness in a rapidly evolving field," she said. "The journey challenged me, but it paved the way for invaluable growth and future opportunities."

“This accomplishment reflects highly on our commitment to staying at the forefront of insider threat detection, prevention, and mitigation strategies,” said Al Concord, Director of RS. “By earning this certification, our team has deepened its expertise in safeguarding national security and the Institute’s sensitive information, intellectual property, and overall security posture.”

Lyvers gave credit to GTRI and its leadership:

Concord states that the team achieving this certification has numerous benefits for them as professionals and for GTRI. He says the certification assists RS in communicating to the GTRI community how the RS team is continuously seeking further professional development and education for:
