You are invited to listen to the next Tech Connects podcast on Friday, August 23rd. Maybe you have heard of Tech Connects, but you’re not sure what it is? Then join us for the next Tech Connects research podcast, featuring Dr. Charles Domercant, Senior Research Engineer and Research Engagements Manager for GTRI’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Charles will speak in more detail about Tech Connects and why it is important to GTRI’s mission and vision.

The GTRI community is comprised of over 9,600 full-time research faculty and staff distributed among 14 facilities in the greater Atlanta area alone, and 21 field offices nationwide. Since GTRI engages in over $1 billion of federal and state-sponsored research annually, it is important to understand and showcase the vital and pioneering research being carried out across GTRI. This not only helps elevate awareness among faculty and staff to better carry out our mission, but also helps foster innovation, collaboration, and increases the sense of purpose and belonging for all GTRI employees.

To accomplish this, the CTO has developed a comprehensive technical communication program to help disseminate institutional knowledge of technical capabilities and portfolios across all of GTRI. During this podcast interview, Dr. Charles Domercant from the CTO’s office will explain the purpose and strategy behind Tech Connects. One of the main goals being to emphasize persistent, bite-size formats that leverage existing communication channels to help raise institutional awareness and provide networking among researchers. By providing regular and consistent opportunities for researchers to access the work of their peers, individual researchers and teams will gain valuable recognition from their fellow researchers while also being given the opportunity to incubate new ideas for collaboration.
