Mr. Zurn is a nationally recognized expert in the Test and Evaluation (T&E) of Electronic Warfare (EW) systems. He has developed and provided leadership for complex EW T&E systems, tackling challenges such as high-fidelity closed loop lab test systems, EW threat simulation, and test of complex next generation systems such as Cognitive EW and Space EW systems. These systems require advanced threat simulation and non-traditional test environments due to their complex nature and their sensitivity which precludes the use of traditional open-air T&E environments. Mr. Zurn is also a recognized EW receiver subject matter expert, having developed advanced algorithms and hardware and software for these systems and developing and teaching short courses for DoD personnel pertaining to these systems. Mr. Zurn has served as the Project Director for over $21M in funded research related to national security. He has held a number of leadership positions at GTRI, including Test Engineering Division Chief, Associate Division Chief and Branch head for three EW-related branches. Mr. Zurn received his Master’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1992 and 1985 respectively.
