We are excited to announce the upcoming GTRI Resume Review event hosted by the IDENTIFY@GTRI Employee Resource Group (ERG). This event is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 3, and will take place at GTRI Headquarters (250 14th Street, Atlanta). The event is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to noon, with registration from 8:30 - 9 a.m.
This valuable session is open to the community who are students, entry level, and mid-to-senior level professionals who are transitioning to new careers—and even to Georgia Tech students, staff, and research faculty. Spread the word!
This is an “outreach” event given by IDENTIFY@GTRI. IDENTIFY is an ERG, an inclusive and active community for GTRI employees who identify as minorities or persons of color, and allies.
To RSVP: Email IDENTIFYoutreach@gtri.gatech.edu . You can also direct any questions to that email address.
The planned agenda includes a 30-minute panel discussion, followed by a 10-15-minute Q&A session, and the remainder of the time will be dedicated to one-on-one resume reviews.
Arrive early and ready: The event is run by current GTRI employees who volunteered. They are very busy. Please be mindful of their time.
Address: GTRI Headquarters is located at 250 14th Street, Atlanta, Georgia (click for a Google Map).
Parking: Download ("Save image as...") and print the parking pass before arriving.
Reverse Chronological Order: Present your experiences from most recent to oldest.
Use Action Verbs: Start bullet points with verbs like "Engineered," "Developed," or "Designed" to make your contributions clear and dynamic.
Too Much Jargon: While technical terms are necessary, overloading your resume with them can make it difficult to read.
