Our Work
The three labs comprising EOSD work collaboratively, performing complementary work. The Applied Systems Laboratory (ASL) conducts applied research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) of ground-based air and missile defense (GBAMD) and rotary-wing aviation systems. The Electronic Systems Laboratory (ELSYS) delivers prototypes, tools, education, and analysis to ensure that mission-critical systems and the people who procure, operate, and sustain them are equipped with an optimal mix of technology, planning, and consideration for total cost-of-ownership. The Electro-Optical Systems Laboratory (EOSL) is a leader in electro-optical (EO) and radio frequency (RF) signal and information processing, with expertise covering system design, algorithm development, and modeling and simulation for signals across the electromagnetic spectrum.
Location: Atlanta, GA
The Electronics, Optics, and Systems Directorate (EOSD) serves as a trusted partner to DoD sponsors, bringing new capabilities to the warfighter including enhancement of legacy systems, modeling and analysis for decision support, and next generation technologies including advanced LIDAR, RF Photonics, Electro-Optic (EO) and RF electronic warfare, microelectronics and advanced materials, LVC and HSI supporting technology transition and training, and missile defense.
