GTRI continuously seeks dynamic and innovative college students for research positions in disciplines related to engineering, information technology, and science.  In addition to research positions, GTRI also hires students for administrative support, management and technical support.

 

Cooperative Education

GTRI’s Co-operative Education (“co-op”) program offers you extensive opportunities to participate in diverse scientific and technological endeavors, use state-of-the-art equipment and rapidly improve your technical and leadership skills. A GTRI co-op experience can escalate your future career success by giving you opportunities to make professional contacts and gain skills that make potential employers take notice. The program allows you to alternate semesters of full-time school with semesters of full-time work for GTRI.

Requirements

All co-ops must meet the following criteria:

  • Complete at least one semester with a declared major that supports a GTRI laboratory job description
  • Be in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Complete a co-op interview with a GTRI representative
  • Be able to work a flexible schedule
  • Due to the nature of the work at GTRI, most positions will require U.S. citizenship

Internship

Undergraduate students have the opportunity to work with our laboratories in different research areas. In addition to research laboratories, GTRI has several support units that need help with research and administrative activities. Positions are available part-time throughout the year or full-time during the summer. These enriching, hands-on experiences help prepare students for successful employment upon graduation.

Requirements

All student positions must meet the following criteria:

  • Complete at least one semester with a declared major that supports a GTRI job description
  • Be in good academic standing with a GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Be able to work a flexible schedule
  • Due to the nature of the work at GTRI, most positions will require U.S. citizenship.

Graduate Research Assistants

Graduate research assistants (GRA's) are enrolled in Master’s or PhD programs at Georgia Tech who participate in more advanced research projects on the cutting edge of technology. Graduate students have an opportunity to expand their skills, apply their knowledge and gain a competitive edge in the job market.

Requirements

All GRA’s must meet the following criteria:

  • Be enrolled full-time in a graduate program at Georgia Tech
  • Complete at least one semester with a declared major that supports a GTRI laboratory job description
  • Be able to work up to 20 hours per week
  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Due to the nature of the work at GTRI, most positions will require U.S. citizenship.
