The mission of the Center for Consumer Product Research and Testing is to identify, research, and publish regarding needs, aspirations, and abilities of children, older consumers, and individuals with physical, sensory, or cognitive disabilities. GTRI has pioneered the design approach known as Consumer Product Integration that seeks to manage the appropriate design tradeoffs between the various design disciplines that impact the consumer experience of commercial products or services.

Center for the Development and Application of the Internet of Things Technologies

The Center for the Development and Application of Internet of Things Technologies (CDAIT) fosters the development of interdisciplinary Internet of Things (IoT) research and education that bridges sponsors with Georgia Tech researchers and faculty as well as industry members who share similar interests. CDAIT is a global, nonprofit, partner-funded center of excellence in IoT that stimulates creativity, productivity gains and revenue generation while addressing critical surrounding societal issues such as privacy, trust, ethics, regulation and policy.
