Consumer Product Research and Testing

The mission of the Center for Consumer Product Research and Testing is to identify, research, and publish regarding needs, aspirations, and abilities of children, older consumers, and individuals with physical, sensory, or cognitive disabilities. GTRI has pioneered the design approach known as Consumer Product Integration that seeks to manage the appropriate design tradeoffs between the various design disciplines that impact the consumer experience of commercial products or services. GTRI serves as the official consumer product test lab for the Arthritis Foundation, the Arthritis Society of Canada, Arthritis Australia, and Arthritis New Zealand.
